Vests. Another overshadowed, underrated wardrobe piece.
Vests are the less-popular cousins of blazers. Don’t underestimate how useful your vests can be, especially in the summer. Use them to cover those backless dresses or cutouts, throw them over strapless dresses and tanks or use them to add color or dimension to a look.
In this look, I'm working with a print with neutral tones and keeping it really simple. Camouflage is a great print all-year-round and, like leopard print, is pretty neutral.
Playing off of the tones in the pants, I decided to go with this tan, faux-leather vest with a brown, wide belt. The style and fabric of the vests goes well with the camouflage of the pants, creating a "look" or theme. In this case, military or army. It just makes sense.
To keep it fresh and summer-friendly, I went with a chunky heel with a wooden base and metallic bow.
