I thought we'd start this challenge off reallllllll slow. If you're subscribed to the email list, you know that today's Item Of The Day is the Work Dress! Last night, I sent out the Item Of The Day with 4 different options for the Work Dress, for a variety of office types, and 4 ways to wear them. That means my subscribers got 4 easy outfits that they could replicate.
For my Day 1 outfit, I decided to keep it simple with a sleeveless, black, A-line dress with a faux leather panel. I love this dress because it's a classic cut, a staple color and has just enough detail in the most unexpected place-- the very bottom. It's very office-friendly, whether you're a corporate gal or a magazine editor.
I paired my simple black work dress with a structured tote bag to create a really sophisticated Madison Avenue look. The burnt orange color of this bag is so close to being a neutral, but has just enough color to stand out. I love the flirtiness of the fringe hassle as well!
Playing off the gold accents on the handbag, I went for gold flats! Flats are an excellent way to jazz up a work look. Metallic and patterned flats are a great way to add color and print into your wardrobe.
