It's beginning to feel a lot like Christmas!....just a few days late.
It's finally starting to get colder here in New York, and this OOTD (that's Outfit Of The Day to you!) comes just in time for the chill. Since it's still the Christmas season and a lot of us are still attending holiday and year-end dinners and parties, I figured I'd show you guys this quick, simple and sophisticated look!
I wore this outfit to church on what I like to call Christmas Sunday, or the Sunday after Christmas. Although this cream turtleneck isn't cashmere, it definitely helps me stay warm in the December chill.
Coco Note: My dad loves turtlenecks. I hate them. They tickle my neck.
I got these high-waist pants from my favorite thrift store a few years ago for under $10 and I have worn them at least once a month since. Red pants are a great way to use typical holiday colors in an unexpected way during this time of year. While everyone else is going for the red dress or red blazer, you'll look chic and polished in red trousers that draw attention to a unique wardrobe choice.
Coco Note: It's always a good idea, especially around the holidays, to think of new ways to reuse or reinvent old trends. Red, green, gold and silver are classic holiday colors, but THINK: how can you switch it up?
Now let's be honest, this look is borderline grandma. So I threw in some modern, sexy but subtle pumps and a layered gold chain necklace to help liven it up.
I always feel extra #GIRLBOSS when I wear this coat, so you know I had to throw it on to compliment my red trousers.
