Since today is Thursday, it’s only right that we take it way back…..back to last month that is.
It’s been so muggy this week and will be raining this weekend, so for this first installment of Coco’s Visions I wanted to be a little nostalgic and show you guys one of my favorite looks from this summer.
My cousin’s wedding was Labor Day weekend so, naturally, I spent the entire summer searching for a dress to wear. I knew I wanted a dress (or matching set) in a bright color, since it was a young couple and a summer wedding. I also wanted something long (despite by height— or lack there of) and I wanted it to be sexy!
When I came across this dress online, I KNEW it was perfect. The lime green color was unlike anything I’ve ever owned, so it was an adjustment and a bit shocking but I truly loved it.
The racer-front and high neckline were perfect to balance the open back.. I especially love the pleated layer added right at the small of your back. The mermaid cut and slight train also helped me click that “Add to Cart” button.
Coco Note: I definitely had to get this dress tailored. It was too long and slightly too loose for my fun-sized body.
I paired the dress with these open-toed shoes. I am obsessed with the snake ankle cuff detail, I love the ideal of extra jewels on my feet in lieu of straps!
