As much as some of us might hate to admit it, February truly is the month of love. I had the honor of serving as lector and emcee at a wedding today, and the theme was cream and gold.
Cream and gold is one of my favorite color combinations because it has such a regal and wealthy appeal.
Coco Note: And you know I love looking like wealth.
Considering my propensity to drop things, I unfortunately have a limited inventory of cream in my wardrobe. Luckily I snagged this off-white skirt suit which features white and gold buttons and details. My favorite part about this suit? It was less than $20. Yes, I said LESS THAN twenty dollars.

Suits are a great choice when dressing up for an event that you need to look nice for, but you don't want to overdo it. A skirt suit is a classic piece and usually unexpected, but always a fabulous choice when worn in a bold color, like pastels, prints or white.
To keep the look clean and soften the bawsiness of the suit, I paired my suit with a pleated, white, chiffon top. In keeping with the theme, I wore minimal gold jewelry and cream open-toed shoes with gold snakes around the ankles.
Coco Note: Yes, these are Giuseppe-inspired. Yes, you can wear open-toed in the winter.
What do you think about this look?
