I'm seriously all about ultra-feminine and flirty looks this season. Summer '17 is giving me serious modern-day A Midsummer Night's Dream vibes.
Before I get all Shakespearian on you, let me put it in layman's terms: give me all the whites, ruffles and florals.
I was never a huge fan of floral print (put the torches and pitchforks down), until I figured out the trick to choosing a print that works for me. A simple floral print that features a larger pattern and few colors is perfect for me! This particular set features a watercolor-like print of fuchsia flowers, with blue-green leaves. The watercolor effect and hints of blue almost make it seem like an abstract depiction of flowers. The less-structured print is easier to handle and less overbearing for someone who isn't a floral enthusiast.
A two-piece set is also a great way to wear a print without being overwhelmed by it. Having separate pieces in the same print breaks up the monotony and makes the look more appealing and inviting. Also, who doesn't mind a bit of chocolate in between? ;)
Also, PSA: I might be wearing these shoes all summer. They just....go......with.....EVERYTHING. I couldn't pass up an opportunity to match a print with a solid accessory, it's my way of grounding the look. I, unconventionally, decided to go with the color most prevalent in the print, which also just happened to be the color of these shoes. Very matchy-matchy, very fabulous.
