It’s Gala season!
I had the pleasure of attending the Haitian- Americans United for Progress (HAUP), Inc 39th Annual Anniversary Gala this past weekend, the first of the season!. It was a big deal for me, since I’ve working with the organization for almost 10 years and I was the emcee for last year’s gala!
I opted for a midi-length dress instead of a floor length gown. I’ve had this dress sitting in my closer for a few months now and I thought this event would be the perfect time to wear it.
You might have seen pictures of celebrities like Kim Kardashian in a (very) “similar” dress floating around. This particular one is in a jade green color and features a key hole at the cleavage with a gold bar detail at the neckline. It has 3/4 length sleeves and hits me right at the knee, which is the perfect midi-length for a more fun-sized girl like myself.
I paired this dress with nude sandals that feature a gold snake detail around the ankle. Since the snake is not too overbearing, I figured the ankle cuff would match the gold bar at the neckline of the dress.
Coco Note: How much do you love the candid pics? LOL
I’ve had this overcoat for so long and I love pulling it out for events! It’s kind of a show-stopper piece. It has a beautiful gold, purple and green print and a purple lining.
