Hey friend. Can we talk for a minute? There's something I need to tell you.
I've been wearing sneakers.
I know, I know. But I can't help myself! Let me explain....
I've been wanting to get into the sneaker game for the past few years, but never found a pair I truly loved and could actually find. So when I visited the Nike Outlet a few months ago, I picked up one sensible pair and one loud pair and, well, here we are.
I have to say, Nike Air Max sneakers are the most comfortable things I have ever put on my feet. That being said, I probably don't need to tell you that I've been wearing them pretty much non-stop since I got them. I have trouble finding a reason not to. The simple black and while design also makes it super easy to pair with.
Rather than wear these with a pair of jeans (I'm just not there yet), I decided on this spandex one-piece of jumpsuit. I featured this jumpsuit in a lookbook video a few months back. I love it for casual Saturdays or for traveling. It's extremely soft and figure hugging, perfect for the airport and great for napping! The white, vertical stripes along the sides against the black of the jumpsuit also give it a super sporty feel, and make it less dressed-up and perfect for sneakers!
Also, it's backless.
I figured since Mother Nature was giving us signs of Spring, I might as well take the cues and add some Spring items to this look. A jean jacket is a staple and great pretty much year-round and I love this particular one, which has a textured sleeve with a geometric print in white and blue. The print isn't overbearing and the colors are pretty neutral, so it's not a huge disruption to the look, but breaks up the monotony of the black and while palette I have going on.
I love subtly mixing prints. I told you guys before, one trick to mixing print is to incorporate similar prints in a similar pattern or color. Here, the floral and striped detail on this blue cross-body bag blends with the blue of the jacket and the stripes of the jumpsuit. The bag is also just small enough that it works with this sporty look and, again, isn't overbearing.
Are you ready for Spring yet, or nah?
