It was a friend of mine’s birthday recently so a bunch of our friends came together for dinner at this amazing Jamaican restaurant in Brooklyn called Footprints. Footprints is actually a chain of restaurants in different parts of Brooklyn that everyone raves about so I was so excited to finally get to go!
Coco Note: I had the rasta pasta with oxtail, it changed my life.
I decided that I wanted to wear leather, but I didn’t want it to feel dominatrix- like (you know what i’m talking about!). This quilted pleather skirt is perfect for when you want to wear leather, but you don’t want to scare anyone off because it’s so soft and not super tight.
I paired this sexy but subtle skirt with a chambray shirt loosely tucked in (again, sexy, but subtle) and with a slight cleavage. As usual, I rolled up the sleeves to my elbows. I added strappy knee-high sandals and a studded clutch to match the chic, but badass, vibe of this look.
I love the juxtaposition of quilted leather and a low bun with a side-swept bang versus studs, strappy sandals and a moto jacket. Somehow the two worlds collide and mix perfectly with this look. It’s not too sexy or strong, and not too lady-like either. It’s a dinner look that you can definitely take to the club afterwards.
You know me, make-up always simple! ;)
