Dear summer, go away.
Okay, so I might've gotten a little carried away with the long-sleeves in yesterday's look, but oh well. Sorry, not sorry.
Mother Nature, bring on the Sweater Weather.
Until my beloved Autumn returns to me (poetic, right?), I'm coping with the remnants of summer by adding a dose of color into my looks. I love lime green/chartreuse as a summer-to-fall transition color. Despite the bright and unique qualities of this color, it's pretty easy to pair and a great setup for the olive infiltration that's about to occur.
Coco Note: Especially if, like me, you pair it with black and white or gray. Superrrrr daring. *major eye roll*
I'm almost positive that this tunic was supposed to be a dress, but as you can see, that just wasn't happening for me. I love the block of lime green at the top and sleeves of this tunic. The simple design of breaking up the lime green with a thick stripe of the cement-toned gray that continues down the rest of the tunic is such a great touch.
I was so tempted to pair this tunic with a pair of leather pants, but I decided to exercise some chill. I get it, I was moving too fast and we're just not there yet.
I decided to continue the gray vibes with a pair of gray skinny jeans. The trick with a color like chartreuse, lime or neon is don't over complicate it.
KISS: Keep It Simple, Sis.
The skinny legs really balance the loose fit of the tunic and the biker-style details like the dark silver zippers and the seams add texture and dimension. I'm bringing more of the lime green by pairing the look with these minimalist sandals, one of my favorite finds this summer. I think the shoes provide just enough pop of color at the back, a happy surprise.
