Y'all, I've been really obsessed with green lately. And I do mean that in every sense of the word.
Starting with the obvious, as Fall approaches I find myself reaching for earth tones like deep reds, khakis and various shades of green more and more every day. I don't have a large collection of green clothing in my wardrobe, but the few pieces I do have all lean toward the deeper end of the spectrum. The more I explore ways to style this color, the more intrigued and enamored I am by it. It's safe to say you'll be seeing a lot more green on TCG in the coming months.
For a darker green like this one, that has the potential to go flat, I look for pieces with personality, to balance it's calm, earthy tone. This faux wrap skirt honestly does the MOST, but somehow the green makes it work. It's actually a bodycon skirt with an asymmetrical cut and two sashes attached. You can wear this skirt with the longer end down, or tucked up and into the sashes or waist, like I did.
Now that other green obsession. Turning 25 (I know that's still pretty young) taught me quit a few things, and one of them is that life is REALLY short and can be even shorter if you don't pay attention. Lately, I've been focused on my health more than ever. I'm talking workouts, cooking at home more, and green smoothies. This one in particular is one of my favorites! (Recipe come soon!)
And last but not least, I'm talking cash money. I recently completed a vision board for 2017-2018 and it's given me new clarity and a real kick in the you-know-what. I set a goal for myself savings-wise that some might deem impossible, but I'm not some. So here's to taking each day one 5-inch heeled step at a time and slaying it, literally and figuratively!
