Now, I'm no Mean Girl, however, there are some fashion rules you just don't break.
@@So on this very cold Wednesday morning, I am wearing pink.@@
I firmly believe in rinsing and reusing key pieces in your wardrobe. For example, this pink sweater is actually a sweater dress that I bought years ago. You know, when it was acceptable for me to wear it in public as a dress. It's in good condition, it fits well AND it keeps me warm.
Coco Note: Wins all around!
Solid pastels or muted tones are always great to pair with prints, especially multi-colored neutral prints. This midi pencil skirt -- another thrift store find-- features a tan and ash brown gingham pattern. Gingham has become a pretty popular trend, but the style and fabric of this skirt makes it a classic piece.
Now, let's discuss this fur. I won't explain my affinity for [faux] fur again, i'm sure you guys get it by now. However, this stole and pair of earmuffs must be addressed. I purchased this fur collar, or fur stole, from Nordstrom a few months ago, as part of my birthday look. It transforms any look and adds a touch of regalia. Nothing says luxury like a fur collar! I love adding it to the collar of my coat (again, joining 2 pieces to create a new piece!), or throwing it across one shoulder, Coming to America-style! (I keeps it faux, tho!)
And don't forget the [faux] leather gloves!
This pair of faux fur earmuffs is a recent purchase from MissGuided, one of my favorite online boutiques. They take me back to childhood days of wearing matching hats, scarves, gloves and earmuff- minus the onesie coat.
Coco Note: Boy, getting dressed must've been a task back then.
Despite what the world might tell you, you don't have to wear heels everyday to be fabulous. In actuality, I don't! These brown leather and suede boots are my go-to for a comfortable, yet refined look. A bit of gold jewelry also never hurt anybody!
