It's Jumpsuit Friday again! Jumpsuits, the one-stop-shop of outfits, are great for the weekend prep and taking your work look from day to night.
People always look at me like I'm crazy when I tell them I shop at Rainbow- yes, THAT rainbow- but this is PROOF of the gems that you can find there. I truly believe every store has the potential to produce a few good (sometimes great) pieces, and this is one of them.
If you're not used to the idea of a jumpsuit, your first thought might be "jailhouse." And while that is a pretty extreme and basic version of a jumpsuit, you're not far off from the main components of a jumpsuit suitable for the office: loose-fitting, full-length, wide-legged and can be a color or patterned. Thankfully, we're not working with a prison uniform and can take it up a notch or two.
I love this shade of purple because it's definitely a standout color, but the tone isn't super bright or overpowering. The chiffon-like material gives it a delicate feel and the cut is super feminine.
I love the detail on the back of this jumpsuit. The cutouts don't show too much skin and the fabric that drapes alongside the decorative cutouts is just as flowy and feminine as the wide legs of the pants. Since we're dressing for the office, a pair of neutral heels and a tan or cream sweater will suffice. Take it to nighttime but switching out the heels for a metallic pair and adding a necklace, bracelet and rings!
