Spring has finally sprung and it's time for tunics. There are many mornings where I find myself late to work or unwilling to iron, and I call these my tunic days. I love tunics because they are effortlessly chic. They come in great prints and fabrics and are usually on-stop-shop pieces, like rompers and jumpsuits, meaning a complete outfit only missing accessories!Read More
I had the pleasure of attending an art exhibition curated by Ms. Lauryn Hill, in collaboration with Haitian Cultural Exchange, MoCADA and Nader Haitian Art. The Diaspora Calling! exhibit was held in the lobby of the Kings Theatre in Brooklyn, NY. I may be biased, but Haitian art is my favorite art- the colors, themes and vibrancy are unmatched. The beautiful gold and red old-Hollywood style of the theatre was like an art piece in itself, with opera house and palace-like elements at every turn.Read More
I'm not sure if i'm trying to slay away the snow that's in the forecast for this weekend or what. I'm doing everything I can to bargain with Mother Nature, at this point.
This is one of my favorite dresses. It's extremely versatile, in that it can be worn in every season and for multiple occasions. It can be paired with flats, boots, heels or sandals. It came with a removable tan belt, so you can switch it out with another color, like the black and gold one I added.Read More
This 70+ degree weather has me literally jumping for joy.
Could it be the end of dry skin, eskimo gear and layering? I'm not sure what Mother Nature has up her sleeve for the next few weeks, but i'm enjoying what she's dishing out now. Including the fact that I don't need a jacket today.
Damn Delfine, Back at it Again with the White Chucks!
Yepp, I have a feeling these are going to get a lot of wear this season!Read More
Have you seen the forecast for this week?
Come through, spring. Come through.
I might be getting a little ahead of myself, but this weather has me ready to pack up all the fur and make room for denim jackets and light trench coats.
Coco Note: The leather stays. It's transitional.Read More
This is it. The last hooray. The ending. The final act. The last scene.
Man, it sure has been a fabulous February. Although rain is on the forecast, it truly is a beautiful day. What better way to end the month than with my very favorite things?

Well Mr. Groundhog, it seems you were right.
It's beginning to feel a lot like springtime. At least this weekend, it is. Although it is still winter and it's going to be cooler later this month, I'm feeing the spring vibes.Read More
There are those days when a thick-slim girl just feels skinny. And when you feel skinny, you feel unstoppable.
Coco Note: If you think skinny, you just might become it. Mind over matter.
Last night I had the pleasure of attending a D'usse event. I haven't had D'usse since the last time I D'usse'd a little too much *cough* NYE 2012 *cough*, but I do love the brand and the product.
I would never promote leggings as pants, but I was feeling skinny last night, so you'll have to excuse me.Read More
Day 25?! Wait. How did we get here?
This is a look inspired by Olivia's Prada houndstooth coat in Episode 9 of Season 4, Where the Sun Don't Shine.
Although this is a very simple look, it definitely makes a statement. As I mentioned before, houndstooth is a classic print and a wardrobe staple. It is, in my opinion, the most sophisticated print. When working with classic prints, you want to stick to classic silhouettes. I love that this particular coat features a crew neck collar.Read More
Mondays have always had a bad reputation of being the worst day of the week. I get it- the weekend is over, the work-week begins, farewell to the fun. What if I told you there was one simple secret to beating the Monday blues?Read More
There are many myths and misconceptions when it comes to personal style. While the majority of these myths are derived from old fashion laws, magazines or even icons, many are self-imposed. Here are just a few ways you can find your personal style, without limiting yourself!Read More
As much as I hate to admit it, I have been waiting for the “right time” to wear this jacket for months! I received this Alexander Wang x H&M Scuba Look top as a birthday gift from my younger brother—shoutout to the bro gawd!—back in November, and had yet to wear it, until this past weekend!
My friend and designer of Fide by Mel D. was participating in the Pink Carpet Affair fashion show in Harlem, NY, and as PR for the line, I was invited to attend and be backstage! It was also one of the coldest days ever, so I decided that it would be the perfect chance to debut the sweater.
Coco Note: Does it not look like the Michelin Man meets waist trainer?! I look like Popeye y’all.Read More
Last weekend I attended a party as a guest of a friend. It was a chance to see a really great band that I’ve been dying to see so I really took the opportunity to dress up!Read More
Last week I had the honor of attending and assisting with the Anniversary Gala of the Association des Ingénieurs Haïtiens et Américains (AIDHA), or Association of Haitian and American Engineers, with my best friend as a guests of the Chairman and his wife. As a Haitian- American, it was such an honor to be able to attend the gala. Since I was technically working and this was a weekday event in the early evening, I opted for a midi-length dress.Read More
