I've probably said this before, but Sunday is definitely my favorite day of the week. Growing up, every Sunday we got dressed in our best outfits and headed to church, followed by lunch or dinner at a restaurant. Not a thing has changed, except maybe the restaurants.
I wanted to do something a little different, while maintaining the conservative nature of Sunday dressing, so I went for a professional-rockstar look. I never knew how to style tops like this long blouse with slits at the sides, or what the point was, but I love it with a printed pant!
The skinny cut of these pixie/cigarette pants balances the wide & flowy feel of the top. Because the pieces are so unique, and we're working with a print, I kept the color palette super simple.
Coco Note: You can't go wrong with black and white.
In keeping with the theme of something different, I decided on silver jewelry. It only seemed right, since I was going for a refined rockstar look. This necklace (and all of its glory) is the perfect accessory for a plain top like this one. Since the pants are mostly covered by the top, I wanted to add more dimension to the top and balance out everything that was happening down below.
I love black and white, but every now-and-then we need a bit of color. I love these minimalist sandals for looks like this. The ankle strap is perfect for the high cut of the pixie pants and the yellow-green heel is the perfect spring color.
