I thought we'd try something different and do this post in video form! If you like this style, make sure you head to my YouTube channel and give it a thumbs up! Feel free to subscribe while you're at it!
I was never a huge fan of a traditional white-collared shirt. Something about it made me feel like I was going on an interview, no matter what I paired it with. As trends have evolved and fashion has gotten more daring, however, I've find new and alternative styles that have shifted my perspective on this classic, wardrobe staple.
This particular style right here, tho? This ain't nothin' simple, honey.
This white-collared "shirt" is actually a dress I bought for part of my 25th birthday celebrations (yes, plural), but as you can see, it leaves a little less to the imagination than desired. I love the figurative and literal twists on this style; the wide neckline, sans buttons, and the twisted design at the pelvis.
Since the plunge is so deep and wide on this shirtdress, I decided to do something fun underneath. The diamond bralette is another trend I love but may be a little too risqué for me, so I did what I do best... double up! I layered the gold, diamond bra over a black, lace bralette.
The split on this shirtdress is super high and wide, so to add a little edge to this otherwise super-glam look, and to tie in the black bralette, I threw on my favorite black, coated pants. And of course, what would this look be without a super skinny, sky-high stiletto? Since there are so many statement elements in this look, I opted for a cool nude.
