Something about the seasons changing and the weather getting warmer makes me think about accessories.
I know, it's a weird thing to all of a sudden place such importance on accessories, but as the clothing gets smaller, shorter and, let's face it...sparse, it's those tiny parts of our outfit that really make the look.
I've been thinking a lot about everyone's favorite Spring and Summer accessory- shades. While we all should be wearing sunglasses all-year round, I must admit that I'm not as consistent as I should be. That being said, I've recognized the error of my ways and I definitely want to protect my eyes from the sun's rays during the months when they're beaming brighter than ever.
Eye Dare You recently sent me 2 pairs of sunglasses and I can honestly say, these will be in full rotation this Spring and Summer.
Coco Note: Eye Dare You was started by 2 Coco Gawdesses, Audreyanna & Chanteau, with the intent to provide fashion forward individuals a better selection of affordable high fashion eyeware.
The first pair of sunglasses is the Lena style, in the silver trim and silver tint. I love the mirrored effect of these lenses, and the geometric cut-out design around the frame. I have to be honest, one thing that surprised me with these sunglasses is how heavy they are!
They don't hurt or feel heavy on the face, but for their price ($12.99!), they're definitely good quality. The silver on silver can easily take a gray or all-black outfit from dull to diva real quick. I styled them in a blog post earlier this week and they really made the look full GLAM.
The second pair I received is in the Liza style. If you know me or have been following the blog for a while, you know that this is NOT a style I would normally wear, which is why I'm glad they sent me these. The Liza is definitely a statement pair of sunglasses; it's impossible NOT to turn heads in these.
The ombre lenses are literally the definition of looking at life through rose-colored glass. The gold hardware is also a nice touch, and the curved handles are an unexpected detail.
While I styled them with a super fun and '70s-inspired outfit to go with the style of the glasses, this is a pair that could easily be worn with white jeans and a tank top, or a black jumpsuit.
There are definitely a few more pairs of sunglasses on the site that I have my eye on, so I will be purchasing soon. Which pair is your favorite? Eye dare you to choose!
